Few months back we have also learned the same thing through CrossLoop. This time I have come up with yet another free to use application that can totally change the way you browse the Internet.

Recently, I found a free application LogMeIn that is used to share your computer in the most secure way.

The fact that it’s free to use for multiple remote PCs makes this remote-access program instantly appealing. The program differs from its competitors in that the application runs in your Web browser. If you’re running Firefox, it asks to install a plug-in and then opens an emulator of the remote PC in a new window.

The control window gives you some standard options such as Ctrl-Alt-Del (which kills the connection) and changing the view settings, as well as tabbed access to adjust the connection setting. The 256-bit SSL encryption and dual passwords–one for the program and one for the remote PC’s log-in–are welcome protections.

How many times have you forgotten your saved passwords? It happens with everyone. But don’t worry. Things can be a lot easier after you learn how to use this software. 

All you have to do is to launch the application for which the password has to be found along with Asterisk Key. Then click on “Recover” button in Asterisk Key.

There is a utility named Asterisk Key that can be used to recover saved passwords in Internet Explorer. So many times we tend to forget our saved passwords in web browsers. The reason is simple. Once the password is saved we did not require to type them every time we sign in for any services.

So, if you tried very hard to remember your password and got fed up, just read through this article and all your problems will get solved easily.

Launch Asterisk Key and also the web pages having saved passwords. If the web page is not open, this utility will not work.

MessenPass is a password recovery tool that reveals the passwords of the following instant messenger applications:

When you run MessenPass, it automatically detects the Instant Messenger applications installed on your computer, decrypts the passwords they store, and displays all user name/password pairs that it found in the main window of MessenPass. If from some reason, MessenPass fails to locate the installed Instant Messenger application, you can try to manually select the right folder of your IM application by using ‘Select Folders’ option (from the File menu).

On the main window of MessenPass, you can select one or more password items, and then copy them to the clipboard in tab-delimited format (you can paste this format into Excel or Open-Office Spreadsheet), or save them into text/html files.

Yesterday, I was stuck when my friend asked me about software to merge two or more PDF documents at one go. I knew many software but none were as fast as desired and also most of them were not free as well.

Recently, I found a tool that can easily merge, split and repair your PDF files at such a rapid pace that you wouldn’t believe it. Not only that you can also decrypt, encrypt and rotate your PDF files. With no installation needed, PDFTK (PDF Tool Kit) is a command-line tool for doing everyday things with PDF documents. It does not require Acrobat, and it runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, FreeBSD and Solaris.

First download the tool from this location. After you have downloaded the software, unzip it to the location easily accessible from command prompt. In my case I have copied the file PDFTK to C: / and also all the required PDF files to the same location. Open a command prompt and type pdftk --help. You should get various usage instructions.

Pdftk can also be used for many other functions such as the following:-

• Merge PDF Documents
• Split PDF Pages into a New Document
• Rotate PDF Pages or Documents
• Decrypt Input as Necessary (Password Required)
• Encrypt Output as Desired
• Fill PDF Forms with FDF Data or XFDF Data and/or Flatten Forms
• Apply a Background Watermark or a Foreground Stamp
• Report on PDF Metrics such as Metadata, Bookmarks, and Page Labels
• Update PDF Metadata
• Attach Files to PDF Pages or the PDF Document
• Unpack PDF Attachments
• Burst a PDF Document into Single Pages
• Uncompress and Re-Compress Page Streams
• Repair Corrupted PDF (Where Possible)

Below are the different commands by which you can manipulate various PDF files. Open Command Prompt and go to the location where you have copied your pdftk file along with other pdf files. At that location perform the below mentioned commands to get the desired outputs.

Thanks to CyberNet News, I just got an application that is standalone i.e. no installation needed and when you press and hold the left mouse button, and then press the right mouse button, the Alt+Tab application switcher will appear on the screen until you click on one of the icons of the windows that you want to switch to. Don’t forget to release the mouse buttons as soon as you select the window that you want to toggle.

It can also be easily set to start with Windows by placing it in your Startup folder (see picture below) located in the Start Menu. You’ll know this is running when you see the Vista-like orb in the System Tray.
