Choosing a cheap and reliable hosting server is always a matter of great concern to every person willing to launch his personal or business websites. At Web1 Solutions, India’s fastest growing and most dynamic web solutions company, the customer satisfaction is of primary concern. To add to that it offers a full range of affordable, reliable and feature-packed hosting services.
Mr. Deep Ganatra is the founder of the company that guarantees 24x7x365 Live Support with 99.9% Uptime.

What I like most about it?

I’ll better answer it through following points:-

1.) They value their customers- Being a customer, you just ask what you want and they’ll try their best to provide you with the same. Very quick in responding to any queries or problems. Top notch hospitality.

2.) No Downtime- For every site administrator this issue is very important. No one wants their site to go down every now and then especially when you are receiving high amount of traffic and expecting a high earning on a particular day. You can just relax without any worries.

3.) Wide Range of Plans to choose – Their Linux Hosting packages range right from 25 MB to 3 GB and can suit every requirement and budget. More than that, you can also buy extra Space as well as extra Bandwidth anytime, so you can never run short of it. Everyone can afford to buy one, great huh?

My blog is hosted on Web1 itself and believe me, right from the day I first started blogging, I didn’t face any problems as such. Also, if you are an Entrecard member for a long time, then you may get benefited as well just by reading their ebook which is full of strategies.

One of the main and important feature added to Entrecard is the ability to add more than one blog to an account. You can add all your blogs to Entrecard simply by going to your Dashboard and clicking “Linked Blogs“. You can also choose whether to link an existing account with your account or register a new blog and link it to your account. You can then switch from one blog to other to drop and advertise as either one. I suppose this is the much needed feature and very useful one.

They are also having a contest for the very first time. They will give away 15,000 credits to people who add new blogs to their accounts. Winners will be randomly selected in each of the following cases:-

2-5 blogs in account
5-10 blogs in account

10-15 blogs in account

15-20 blogs in account

20-25 blogs in account

Also, if you write a blog post mentioning about their new features, you may win 2000 credits.

I have been using Entrecard for quite a while now. Its really an effective way to advertise on others sites without any cost. Their network is growing real fast.

With more than 50,000 bloggers registered with PayPerPost, the advertisers can easily promote their websites.

On the other hand, if you look through the Bloggers point of view, PayPerPost is just great and awesome. Isn’t it easy and one of the best way to earn money online. I certainly think so. Just register yourself with PayPerPost and experience the difference.

Before start using this service, just make sure that your blog is at least a month old with English as primary language. Also, do check out their blog ethics.

Well, friends last week I was not able to post my article because of mid term examination. It lasts for four days, two exams each day. Phew! It was quite hectic. Anyways, coming back on the track………

This time I wanted to share something for which I am highly obliged to my college (Amity University) and I am blessed to get admission in it. Our college runs two subjects besides all other common subjects that are ASCENT AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE.

After attending lectures of these two classes, I was feeling like I am so much lucky to get such knowledge from the very beginning. I am going to share my experience out here.

BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE

This class is all about polishing our behavior and about personality development. Many workshops are being held in this subject which help us to know such things that we are not aware of. There are different activities that are quite interesting and helpful too.

In our last workshop we had a topic PROBLEM SOLVING, in which we have done an activity to understand the main aim of the workshop. In that activity, our faculty had given us few questions based on following topics:-

KNOWLEDGE
COMPREHENSION
APPLICATION
ANALYSIS
SYNTHESIS
EVALUATION

Accordingly, we have to answer them applying all above rules and guess what, these are few steps we go through when we sort out our problems. Well I will surely discuss it in details that how interesting it is. So in this way this subject is more playful and knowledgeable. We get to learn a lot about human
behavior and much more.

ASCENT

As the name suggests ascending or rising, so is the main aim of this subject. This subject is introduced to us so that we get ready for the biggest opportunity in our life for which we are studying harder, yes that’s right! Placements and job opportunity in the upcoming years is the primary concern.

The main focus is on our communication skills, body language, eye contact, facial expressions, confidence level, knowledge, accent, group discussion and all other stuffs which are important for personal interviews and subsequently getting a good job.
Till now we only had one class because it is introduced just few days before. Our first class was very informative for me. The faculty has given time to each individual in a personal interview and told us various aspects that are lacking in us and how could we manage to correct that.

As for me I was advised to read articles, newspapers and magazines because I was bad at expressing myself, except that, everything was quite impressive i.e. my confidence, eye contact, accent etc.
So no sooner I got to know about my weak point, I started reading even though I hate it but I found those comments and feedbacks very true and the only way to improve my expressing skill is to keep myself updated.

So far, I am very much excited to attend these two classes may be I use to bunk others, but a BIG NO for these two.
I am always interested to know myself more and to improve in all respect so I am enjoying it and learning a lot from it.

Friends, I am really sorry for not posting any articles for couple of days.

It’s just this viral infection that caught me and forced me to extinguish myself from blogging. This whole month has been very tough and hectic for me. First, that conference which deprived me of writing anything on “Aarambh” and now this viral fever and body-ache is taking the heavy toll on me.

Nevertheless, I am trying to get on track as fast as I can. It will take just couple of days more to get into the groove and then I’ll try to make up the loss.

Till then, Stay Tuned.

You FAV Me And I FAV You

I suppose, it’s time I should also start Technorati Favorites Exchange Experiment. Recently, I have seen TechFreak and Life Rock experimenting with the famous Technorati Favorites Exchange Program strategy to increase their rank.

What are the benefits of being favorited?

According to doshdosh.com, here are some reasons why getting into the Technorati 100 will be beneficial:

  • Provides social proof. Getting in the Top 100 provides social proof of your blog’s popularity. This will increase the attractiveness of your site in the eyes of advertisers and blog readers if mentioned or displayed prominently.
  • Expands your blog readership. You are more likely to receive visitors from Technorati if you are listed in the Top 100 most favorited list. Visitors are bloggers, which means that they are potential feed subscribers if you have quality content.

How to participate?

  1. First, add Aarambh to your favourites by following this link: Add to Technorati Favorites using Tag: Technology, Internet, Motivation or any other you feel appropriate.
  2. After you are done with that, leave a link of your Technorati profile in the comments so that I can add you to my Favorites.
  3. You can also add others who will leave link in the comments and ask them to do the same.
  4. (Optional)Participate in this experiment. Make a post about this, give a link back to my post. If you do so, I will Put your link in this post so other people can visit you.

So go ahead and participate and add me on your technorati.

Here is the list of blogs which I added to my Favorites:-

Life Rocks
TechFreak
Sizlopedia
Technospot
Review Saurus

How to Charge your iPod using an Onion http://www.rakshitk.com/blog/2008/02/08/how-to-charge-your-ipod-using-an-onion/ http://www.rakshitk.com/blog/2008/02/08/how-to-charge-your-ipod-using-an-onion/#comments Thu, 07 Feb 2008 20:02:31 +0000 Rakshit http://www.rakshitk.com/blog/2008/02/08/how-to-charge-your-ipod-using-an-onion/ Strange, right?

Recently, I found a weird video tutorial on gametrailers that claims to do so. Really, it’s a bit weird. Although, I haven’t tried it yet but it looks very convincing. If anybody among you ever tries this, please let us know about that. It will be good to know if it works the way intended to be. So, let’s start with the requirements for charging your iPod with an Onion.
Requirements:

  • 1 White onion
  • 2 cups of Gatorade or any other energy drink
  • Screwdriver
  • iPod and USB cable

Procedure:

  1. Make 2 holes on either side of the onion.
  2. Immerse that onion in a mug filled with 2 cups of Gatorade for about 30 mins.
  3. Wipe out excess fluid from the onion.
  4. Plug your USB cable (attached to iPod on the other end) into the onion.

That’s it. Below is the video footage of the above described process.

After, almost a week long break, I am back to blogging world. I missed working on “Aarambh” all along.

Anyways, throughout this whole period I went to Ghaziabad to attend a National Conference on CS/IT at KIET scheduled on 2nd – 3rd Feb. My Research Paper got accepted and so I had to give presentation of the paper. It was real fun but on the other hand a bit uneasy. I mean, I was asked to present my paper amidst of some great personalities and big men.

Well, the highlight of this trip was the informative interaction of mine with the TCS representative. I didn’t recognize him ( surely, how can I in my first meeting?), mistaken him as a KIET professor and asked him about his experience in KIET. Unfortunately, he turned out to be the Chief Guest of the conference and more than that a TCS(India based top IT company) representative. Man, it was total foolishness from my side. In spite of this early blow, I corrected myself just at the right time and then we both began what turned out to be a real gentlemen, professional and informative discussion.

This was my 2nd Research Paper being accepted. First one was in ICFAI, Ahmedabad where it was a managerial level conference. Oh, I can’t forget my experience there as well. Perhaps, I’ll definitely share that sometime later.

My first month of blogging has proved to be a very good learning curve for me. I’ll share the month’s stats of “Aarambh” in my next post.

Special thanks to all those who spent their precious time on commenting to my articles and giving their personal views. Also, a vote of thanks to those who have subscribed to my Feeds.

Readers, Stay Tuned. We have got much more to deliver. After all, it’s just an “Aarambh”- A Beginning.

Previously, I discussed about Human Attitude. This time let’s focus on what is termed as killers that travel in packs- Cigarettes and Man’s biggest weakness- Smoking.

Smoking is, if not my life, then at least my hobby. I love to smoke. Smoking is fun. Smoking is cool. Smoking is, as far as I am concerned, the entire point of being an adult.

How many times have we heard similar words being said again and again in different formats? The addiction and susceptibility of our body to the harmful chemical nicotine we attain through the different tobacco products we smoke or chew is basically termed as Nicotine Dependence. When we smoke cigarettes nicotine enters our body along with various other chemicals. Nicotine inhaled through the smoke heads straight to the brain and activates the pleasure cells, thereby producing physical and mood altering effects that give us momentary pleasure. But these effects are addictive, making your system crave for continued use of tobacco, once you have it.

Nicotine dependence or plainly speaking ‘the Smoking Habit’ can be very derisive with your health problems. It would initiate a lot of tobacco related harms in your body that can ultimately give rise to diseases of the lungs, heart and blood vessels. Smoking is the evil behind many cases of mouth and lung cancer.

Have you ever thought to find out with every cigarette you lights up daily, along with it what are the other harmful things you are consuming indirectly?

I am sure your reply will be “NO

That’s because if you have ever thought of, then you must have quit smoking.

SMOKERS, please at least be aware of certain facts before you smoke next time.

1- What does cigarette contains?

Cigarette contains over 4000 ingredients other than tobacco and Cigarette Smoke contains 69 carcinogens. In addition to common additives such as yeast, wine, caffeine, beeswax and chocolates, cigarette contains various ingredients with other common use —

acetic acid- vinegar
acetone- nail polish remover
ammonia- cleaning agent
arsenic- poison, used as insecticide
butane- lighter fluid
cadmium- found in batteries
DDT- insecticide
ethanol- alcohol
formaldehyde- substance used to preserve body tissue known as carcinogen
hydrogen cyanide- gas chamber poison
methanol - rocket fuel
naphthalene- moth balls
toluene- an industrial solvent
vinyl chloride- plastic piping

2- Health Effects of Cigarette Smoking

There are no physical reasons to start smoking. The body doesn’t need tobacco the way it needs food, water, sleep, and exercise. In fact, many of the chemicals in cigarettes, like nicotine and cyanide, are actually poisons that can kill in high enough doses.

The body is smart. It goes on the defense when it’s being poisoned. For this reason, many people find it takes several tries to get started smoking: First-time smokers often feel pain or burning in the throat and lungs, and some people feel sick or even throw up the first few times they try tobacco.

Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body; causing many diseases and reducing the health of smokers in general. More deaths are caused each year by tobacco use than by all deaths from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, suicides, and murders combined.

3- Different types of diseases caused by Smoking

Worldwide research institutes have established the facts of short term and long term effects of environmental tobacco smoke. Let us understand these one by one.

Short Term Effects:

It depends upon the susceptibility of a person to nicotine. Some can stay in a room with smokers for quite a long time apparently without being effected. Others may get ill within a few minutes or an hour of exposure to environmental smoke.

  • Asthma patients may experience attacks due to ETS exposure.
  • Allergy patients experience all types of allergic symptoms like stuffy nose, watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, wheezing etc.
  • Coughing
  • Headache
  • Nausea
  • Lethargy
  • People who are trying to quit feel cravings for a smoke

Long Term Effects:

There are quite a number of dangerous long term effects of environmental smoke depending upon the frequency of exposure to involuntary smoking. The likelihood of below mentioned diseases are increased by frequent exposure to passive smoking.

  • Risk of lung cancer
  • Risk of heart disease
  • Risk of miscarriages and birth defects
  • Risk of developing asthma in children and adults
  • Risk of ear infections
  • Aggravated asthma, allergies, and other conditions
  • Learning difficulty in children
  • Risk of lung infection

This article is especially dedicated to all the smokers and also to the non-smokers so that they get to know certain facts which originally they might not knew about smoking and its harmful effects not only on them but also on people around them. I hope you will now think on this matter.

Smoking is not good for us in any case, then why we still smoke ???

Please, do ask this question to yourself…

and if your mind says…..”Yes ! I should quit smoking”

Then I will help you in doing so. Don’t forget to check out next Tuesday- ways to quit smoking!

It’s all one thing – both tend into one scope -
To live upon Tobacco and on Hope,
The one’s but smoke, the other is but wind.

~Sir Robert Aytoun of Kincaldie, “Sonnet on Tobacco”
