Few Days back, I bought a DVD of a classical bollywood movie- DHARM. Earlier, I downloaded many movies from the internet that were the DVD rip of the original one. This time, I tried myself to rip a DVD. After trying many softwares for this purpose, I decided to work with DVDfab HD Decrypter- the most common choice to rip a DVD.
Another software that may be involved here is AnyDVD. AnyDVD will be a very handy tool if in case your DVD has certain kind of copy protections imposed. Always keep that running before any DVD rip process.
According to a website, DVD-Guides, DVD ripping is just a three step process.
1-> The main window-”Full Disk” is for ripping the whole content of a DVD including the “main movie”, menus etc. Select your source and destinatin folders accordingly.
2-> Second window-”Main Movie” is self explanatory now. It is used for ripping only the “main movie” excluding extras. Again, select your source and destination folders accordingly. In this section, you can also remove any unwanted “audio languages” and subtitles. Whatever information is inbuild on your DVD will be shown here. Deselect whatever you don’t require.
3-> Click the “Start” button. That’s it you are done. It’ll take around 30 minutes to complete the task.
This tutorial is best possible I could manage for ripping the DVDs. I hope, you will not encounter any types of problems during the complete procedure. Do share your opinions with us.
pretty basic though…but still it is good start for all the beginners, i’m sure they’ll like it.
Why don’t you write an advanced tutorial on this….like how one can compress the dvd by making use of compression tools and all…
Thanks for the suggestion, buddy. I’ll work on that and will try to produce something more advanced. After all it’s just the beginning “Aarambh” for me as well.
And you are doing pretty good in your aarambh! keep up the good work
Thanks again…
thanks Rakshit im goin to try it just now once it succeeds vl let u know
Prashant, if you face any problem, just drop your comment here. I’ll respond to that as soon as possible.
Also write your hardware specifications while writing such posts as time taken depends on what hardware you have.
@ Ashfame

Yea, nice suggestion. I’ll edit my post soon.
Thanks…
